The datacentre facility: Reynolds House, Manchester Techno Park

Forming a base for our dedicated server, colocation and web hosting solutions, Reynolds House is the largest datacentre outside London, and has a capacity of approximately 160,000 servers and 2-3Mw power availability.

Security at the datacentre

As you would expect and demand, security standards at Reynolds House are uncompromising:

• Physical security: high perimeter security fencing with 24 hour security guards and motion detection CCTV.
• Secure network: extensive digital security from fail-over border firewalls.
• Access control policy: strictly enforced by an electronic entry management system. No unauthorised personnel are allowed on site, whilst staff and equipment maintenance engineers must produce per-visit unique access codes to gain entry to the datacentre.
• Smoke and fire protection: advanced VESDA™ gas deployment fire system.
